Avec nos sabots

It may be that it is presumptuous of me, not quite the word I want, what I really mean is looking ahead....but when I saw these very small crocs at the Church Bazaar I just had to get them, especially as they were so similar to mine, in anticipation of my little Grand daughter coming to visit and wanting to go out and learn gardening.

Why 'Avec Nos Sabots'....There was a traditional song I was taught by my father, a French song called Avec mes Sabots Don daine...sabots meaning clogs. The tune is haunting me, but I hardly remember the words. So with our clogs on Grandma and Grand daughter will explore the wonderful world of the garden, with its secret parts, insects, birds, butterflies and plants. Mine are old well worn, and well used....you can see that undercoat is impossible to remove, even after umpteen goes in the washing machine!

In this very cold weather I brought in some plants from the patio. I wonder how many that have been left out will have survived?

Baby Pictures

When I opened my blog, I was amazed that these pictures had appeared. Unless my son and daughter in law ask me to delete these, I shall leave these up.

This morning, we were all having a chat, and I said how I was enjoying all the baby pictures they were posting, and Matthew asked that I leave some comments.....this is something I had not tried. I went into their site, and saw a blogger icon, and just followed my nose there. I was a little perplexed when nothing came up on their site, so search for another place to put entries and found them. Now I know what happened to the ones which seemed to go into thin air, they have turned up on my blog!

Welcome to Izabelle Mary

Just one day old, here is Izabelle Mary, sleeping peacefully. This is the first picture I have of our first grand daughter. A huge welling up of love has overwhelmed me, I think that is what most grand mothers must feel. I wish my mother were alive to ask her how she felt when her saw her first grand child: Izabelle's father, and then her three other grand children.

We went into Stratford today, ostensibly to get Mr S fitted out with some new clothes, but we seemed to veer towards the baby sections, where Mr S played with new toys!
