In a Vase on Monday - Sent to my neighbour

We are all lucky in this little cul-de-sac...we are good neighbours and get on nicely.  There is also lots of talent, and always someone to help with advice, help and bring on a smile.  I've even managed to enrol an expert photographer on the close to judge our Horticultural Club's a photographic section.  I thought we would be just running the photographic section, but it turns out the committe thought my idea such a fun one for the members, we are now going to expand the competition and have photographs for all the sections.  I think I shall suggest that we get horticultural input for those!

From time to time I like to make an arrangement and pass it to a neighbour.  The lovely white agapanthus came from one, so it is only fitting that a special arrangement be made for Val.

Hope I manage to list all the other items: poppy seed heads, Fuchsia Riccartonii,

Fucshia Delta's Sara,

long purple heads of  Salvia nemerosa 'Caradonna', ligh mauve soft downy flowers of Salvia yangii aka Russian Sage, and Sedum Hylotelephium  erythrostictum 'Frosty Morn', aka 'Alison's sedum'.

  1. A lovely arrangement and how sweet to share it with a neighbor! I bet she'll be thrilled. It is always a blessing to have good neighbors, as we often need a helping hand somewhere along the way.
    Happy Monday!

  2. That's an especially nice idea, giving a posy to someone who contributed part of the contents. I agree that lockdown has been good for fostering neighbourliness (well, in many places at least) - and I have found out such a lot about others in our village. What pretty foliage you have included - and I haven't thought to use fuchsia in a vase for ages...

  4. Good neighbors are especially important in times like these. I love the fuchsias and I expect your neighbor greatly enjoyed the whole arrangement.

  6. How thoughtful of you Noelle .Your neighbour must have appreciated your kind gift. We are in a cul-de-sac too but with just the one neighbour. I've often thought it would be fun to have more neighbours.

    1. We all share talents or even a good ear. Only today Val gave me two of each plants to go in my border, divided from her well stocked back garden.
