Monday's Posy

The flowers were picked last night, yes it was gloomy, and past six o'clock.  Having 'begged' some extra space in my neighbors' green bins, I was flying round the garden doing some last minute trimming, as I knew the weather today would be blustery and wet.

I rescued some of the blue perennial cornflowers, now cut down as they had started to mildew, a 'runty' bloom from Grace,  a spray from Ghislaine de Feligonde, and some stems from Iberis ex Betty Swainson, plus a few prunnings from the Mrytle bush.

This morning I arranged the few stems, and felt this reflected the strange long Indian Summer we have been having.  No heating on yet, but maybe tonight?
